Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has passed that I can now articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to prevent the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate issued a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the tragedy, public individuals shared different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making provocative claims that were widely condemned by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by proposing that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
