FC Barcelona to Host First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
