Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was made after an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

He has published in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
