In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
